Sunday worship

With 10am Sunday morning worship we seek to connect with God and each other. Sometimes joyful and vibrant, other times meditative and reflective, we hope worship time renews, restores, and offers spiritual nourishment to help us face the realities of the world together. We gather in-person and also provide a live-streamed virtual option for those who worship from home. We love having visitors from all over the country and world! Click here on Sunday morning to tune into live streamed worship and don’t forget to refresh the page after 10am if live stream does not start, or try again in a few minutes as tech difficulties may cause a delay.

This is our biggest moment together throughout the week, and our intention with this time of worship at 10 am is to connect with God and each other. We hope to renew, restore, and share some spiritual nourishment to help us face the realities of the world together. We meet in-person as much as we are able, but continue to provide a virtual option for those who need or want it.

On Sundays, we begin with a warm and radical welcome and some announcements pertaining to the life of the church, then continue with singing and praying, and then move to a moment for children before they go to an age-appropriate sacred experience of crafts or music if they wish.

We listen for the still-speaking voice of God from the Bible with a sacred reading, then we hear one of our pastors deliver a sermon message, where they wrestle with and draw inspiration from the Biblical text for our time. We sing together alongside piano or organ, listen to our bell choir, our youth rock band or our really fantastic adult choir. We truly appreciate our musicians and are elevated by the music.

We love hearing joys and concerns from the community so that we can pray for one another throughout the week. Anyone is welcome to share, but of course no one is put on the spot or required to share a prayer. In the parking lot entry way, we have a prayer journal in which people are invited to lift up prayers. The pastors gather the written prayers and speak them aloud during service.  We close our time with a blessing and a meditative piece of music, so that we may leave feeling renewed, refreshed in mind and spirit. Service usually lasts one hour.

Our weekly worship resources email & blog post (posted Saturday) provides the latest information about worship and is especially useful if you are with us virtually.
