Dear God,
We pause now to stop and be present in this moment – right here, right now. We breathe in, we breathe out…we breathe in, we breathe out… (pause)
Here and now we are grateful for the blessings we receive. Thank you for the rain this week that refreshed all your creation. Thank you for fresh vegetables from summer gardens. Thank you for safe travels for the youth Mission trip. Thank you for the great youth of our congregation who graciously shared their love and kindness with the people of Newport, TN. Thank you for new beginnings. Thank you for the love and grace that has found us and will not let us go.
Here and now we pray for the victims and their families in Colorado – for comfort, healing, and peace. We pray for peace in the world. May we daily feel a deeper union with Life and a greater sense of your indwelling Spirit within us. Use us, O God, as only you know. Amen.
