Starting in January, youth are invited to a 9:00 Sunday School class to explore and study world religions. Because religions are so wide-ranging and influential, it is very important and enriching to study them and learn from them. In this class we will study and discuss the major world religions including Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity. Through activities, discussions, guest speakers, videos, and worship experiences we will develop a deeper understanding of religious traditions and learn what we have in common but also be able to celebrate and appreciate the differences as we coexist with one another. Another wonderful outcome of such a study is that we will have our own beliefs and practices enriched because we will learn about our own religion’s history, scriptures, and influences from different points of view.
This class will begin on Sunday, January 24 at 9:00 a.m. All youth (7th through 12th grade) are invited to participate.
