Can you feel Spring in the air? The Vegetable Village crew (also known as the Garden Plotters) is gearing up for those first warm days when the snow is gone and the way to the gate is passable. Come join us! There will be a few 12 x 12 plots available for families or individuals to grow their own vegetables. We need to have some idea of how many people would be interested in a plot. Contact Meg Stevens at 233-6199 or venusipsa@yahoo. com by April 1st to register your interest. The fee is $40, and participants would need to agree to a set of gardening rules. The Committee will use a lottery system if there is a waiting list for plots.

The Pantry Plot will need a dedicated group of volunteers committed to working Tuesday nights all through the summer. The produce grown in the Pantry Plot is given directly to a local food pantry. There will be further information about signing up for this important mission project throughout the spring.

The Children’s plot will also return for the season. Adult volunteers will be needed to work with the kids during Sunday School as they plant, water, weed, harvest, and share their bounty. Watch this space for further information.
