Building Improvement Proposals to be discussed

September 20 at 11:15 a.m.: Building Proposal discussion with Facility Improvement Team & Strang and Associates
Our Facilities Improvement Team (FIT) has been working with Strang for several months to solicit proposals for Next Generation Initiative based improvements, remodeling, and possible expansion of the building. This will be the first of 2 congregational discussions. Artists renderings of the ideas should be in the Lounge by Labor Day.

Vegetable Village taking shape

The new ORUCC Vegetable Village is taking shape.  Several households have planted their own gardens and many are helping with a kids garden and a pantry garden (growing food for two local pantries).  Anybody is welcome to help in the garden on Tuesday nights from 6-8 p.m.  See the photo section for many, many more photos

Laikos gathering and update

May 20 from 5:30-6:30 (June 3, 17; July 1, 15, 29; August 12, 26)

Our Laikos ministry is evolving and gaining focus. For the time being, Laikos be an every other week gathering (on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m.) to focus on personal discernment and shared spiritual practices. Practices we might explore include silent meditation, music led mediation, lectio divina, yoga, walking a labyrinth, etc. Each session will begin with 20 minutes of shared practice and then included group discussion on a theme related to personal spiritual growth. Even if you have not come to a previous gathering, you are welcome to these gatherings. It is hoped that participants will commit to coming as often as possible.
