My family and I want to offer our sincere thanks to all you who co-conspired to surprise me with a 10th anniversary “Boyd Bash” last Sunday. I was indeed surprised, but even more importantly, I was humbled and honored by the affection and warm sentiments. We were deeply touched by the generous gifts, the amazingly tasty lunch, the fun music, the many cards, the delightful video, and the overall spirit of joy. I will relish the day for weeks to come. I must also affirm that serving this congregation has been and continues to be a great joy in my life. I deeply appreciate the spirit of care, the spirit of adventure, and the spirit of openness that exists here. I look forward to developing even more exciting aspects of church life that come from a long pastorate.
