Welcome to our New Members
On Sunday, October 19th, we welcomed these new members to Orchard Ridge UCC

Tom and MaryAnn Bast:
Tom is a retired architect and MaryAnn a retired financial analyst. They have two grown daughters and were members of ORUCC for about 10 years and are now transferring from First Congregational Church Madison. Tom is also the artist that created our stained glass windows.

Kathy Borkowski and Chris Glad:
Kathy and Chris found ORUCC through their friendship with Bonnie August and Pat Plaisted. Kathy is the director of the Wisconsin Historical Society Press and Chris is a medical record software specialist. Kathy also traveled to the Dominican Republic last spring with our Habitat for Humanity trip. They have one grown daughter.

Jennifer and Paul Eggerling-Boeck:
Jennifer and Paul and their young daughters Lila and Sylvie found the church on their own! Jennifer is a self employed editor and Paul is a computer programmer with Qwantify, Inc. His hobbies include guitar playing and photography, while Jennifer’s include knitting and reading.

Brandon Hayes and Jack Pepple:
Brandon and Jack found the church through our website. They recently moved to Madison for Brandon’s job as a clinical pharmacist with the Madison VA. Jack is a librarian and seeking work. They are transferring from First Congregational Tomah, where they were very involved. They enjoy sports, theater, and canoeing, among other things.

Paul and Brenda Hinahara:
Paul and Brenda found the church through their daughter Jordan’s friendship with Kythie Boyd. They began attending last spring and are transferring from Mt. Olive Lutheran in Madison. Paul works for Madison Instruments, Inc. and Brenda is a 6th grade teacher at Jefferson Middle School in Madison. They have two young adult children.
Diane Wensel got to know ORUCC members through their work on the 2006 Marriage Amendment campaign while working at Fair Wisconsin. She is retired, lives in our neighborhood and has three grown children. Her religious background is Catholic and she enjoys gardening, camping and fishing. She says she is glad she finally found a church so open and welcoming.
