Faith Engaging Science

I am pleased to send to you an advance copy of our Pastoral Letter on Faith Engaging Science and Technology – A New Voice Arising . This is the result of a collaboration with the Science and Technology Network of the UCC. Dr. Ron Cole-Turner was the major collaborator on this.
We are planning a major public launch of this letter on January 29 with press releases for the media, including the scientific media. We have endorsements from key scientists and theologians and will be doing some creative advertising about this in science blogs. Still Speaking is preparing resources for this as well, including a new poster. There will also be a podcast of an interview with me, Ron Cole-Turner, and Olivia White. The Letter itself will also be available on the web.
All in all, this is an exciting initiative. Kimberly Whitney, formerly in Worship and Education, and now on OGM staff, has been doing the excellent staff work for this effort.
